Well Comic Relief in SMU was a success! Myself and Dan came in Army gear and many others dressed in superhero costumes and had an 80's theme to their costume. A great laugh was had by all - and all in the name of charity! The camouflage paint was rather difficult to remove though and I was due to go out with my old uni friends that night so things were a bit frantic to say the least!
The night out was great. It was really good to catch up. I miss my old mates!
I have just had my ASP2 meeting with my new placement school senior mentor - just found out that I will be placed in a Year 6 class with a teacher who is the deputy head! I'm going to have to be on my best behaviour then! Although I always am, it will no doubt worry me even more than I need to be! Hopefully this person will be nicer than expected and things will run smoothly!
Well I better go now, need to knuckle down and get on with my work! Oh joy!

Making good headway....
Well what can I say! I've managed to complete a Directed task in advance of the deadline! Yes, you heard correctly - my D&T assignment has already been handed in and now I can get on with my next assignment - Music - Whoohoo!! :(
Well all is not bad - Once Music is done I will only have English left to complete - happy days. Furthermore Friday 13th is shaping up to be a real nice day. Comic Relief 2009 will be celebrated by many PGCE students when they enter campus in fancy dress! Yes fancy dress! Apparently this is the first year this has been allowed in uni and therefore we should make all effort to make the event a success - it is all in aid of charity after all hey! I havent decided what to wear yet although army costumes have been suggested.
After uni my best mate James from my old uni course will come to stay over having come all the way from England. We will head into town that night and meet some of the Irish girls who took the course with us and hopefully have a well deserve catch-up, a few double JD and cokes and a great night out! I'm really looking forward to it!
Roll on the end of the week! :)

Update Week 2
Here we are a week later and nothing much has happened - today has been one of the longest days in all of time for me! Came in @ 10am full of energy and eager to start after having a good 7 hours sleep. What I was confronted with was 3 long hours of Welsh and an hour lecture in a very hot room which tired me even more so. Because we merely required to sit and pay attention, each lesson was dull and boring - this reinforces the notion that school children need much more interactivity to engage in the work which was ever more evident today! At least I can strive to do better! :)
The directed tasks (our assisngments) are slowly but surely building up again and my D&T and Art are due next week so I need to find some motiviation and get them finished pretty sharpish!
